Thank you for visiting the Signature Gives Back, Inc. (“SGB", “we”, “us” or “our”) website located at www.signaturegivesback.com (the “Site”). SGB is the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable arm of The Signature Real Estate Companies.
We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. We recognize your right to know what information is being collected about you and how that information will be used, as well as our obligations to protect what we do collect.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Personal Information Collected
SGB respects your privacy while you are an online visitor to our Site. We do not collect personal information unless you provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. You can have general access to, and browse, our Site without providing any personal information. If you wish to make a donation(s) through our Site, we will request certain personal information such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, and credit card information (including credit card number, expiration date, and security code). We also may request certain personal information if you wish to register for an event or volunteer your time at an SGB-sponsored event. And we will receive your personal information if you submit it to us when you e-mail comments to/about the Site.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate our Site. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Site, and other technical information. This type of information is primarily used to maintain the security and operation of our Site, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
USE & SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION
Use of Your Information
We use personal information collected from you for a variety of legitimate purposes, including the following:
To facilitate, with your consent, charitable donations.
To send you service and new feature information, and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
For data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our charitable campaigns, and to evaluate and improve our Site, services, and your experience.
To contact you periodically with required notices, important information, charitable events, programs, and volunteer opportunities.
For compliance with our legal obligations.
For other legitimate purposes, with your consent.
Sharing of Your Information
We do not disclose any of your personal information to anyone, other than to our charitable affiliates, The Signature Real Estate Companies (and related or subsidiary companies), as the owner and operator of the Site, except as permitted by law, such as to our attorneys, and to certain trusted service providers, such as third-party web site hosts. We will only release information about you if you direct us to do so, if compelled to do so by law or in connection with any government or self-regulatory organization request or investigation. We do not otherwise sell, rent, trade, or provide your personal information to outside parties.
We only share and disclose your information in the following situations:
- Compliance with Laws and Court Orders. We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable laws, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process such as in response to a court order or a subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements). Should any court order or applicable law require that we disclose your personal information, we will do so only to the extent necessary to comply with such order or law.
- Vital interests and Legal Rights. We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
- Vendors, Consultants, and Other Third-Party Service Providers. We may share your information with third-party vendors such as service providers, contractors or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and who require access to such information to do that work. Examples include: payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing services. We may allow selected third parties to use tracking technology on our Site, which will enable them to collect data about how you interact with the Site over time. This information may be used to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand online activity.
- With Your Consent. We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.
KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION SAFE
We are concerned with the safety and security of your sessions on our Site, the information you provide to us online, and any transactions you conduct with us online. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those of our employees, contractors and agents who need to know the information to enable us to provide our services to you.

We take every precaution to protect your information, both online and off-line. The servers on which we store your personal information are kept in a secure environment. However, please remember that, despite all of these efforts and precautions, we cannot guarantee that the Internet itself is 100% secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Site is at your own risk and you should only access the products and services within a secure environment.
Retention of Your Information
When we have no ongoing legitimate need to process or retain your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (“COPPA”). COPPA requires that web site operators never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting verifiable parental consent. In accordance with COPPA, we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. We recommend that no one under the age of 18 submit personally identifiable information to our Site. In the event that we determine that a user of this Site is under the age of 13, we will not maintain or use his or her personally identifiable information.
BLOGS & OTHER POSTINGS
You should be aware that any information provided or content posted by you to the Site may be read, collected, or used by other visitors of the Site. SGB is not responsible for the third-party use of any information provided by you in such manner. By participating in the use of a blog or other posting on our Site, you consent to SGB’s use or disclosure of any content that you submit in this manner.
YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
