In cabaret style, Signature Gives Back, Inc. will showcase the talents of REALTORS® from its affiliated company, The Signature Real Estate Companies, at local hip dinner club and music hub, The Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton. The event—open to the public—marks its Second Annual Signature’s Got Talent Show, February 20, 2018 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

“I am thrilled to advise that all proceeds from this unique event will benefit two amazing local charities, KidSafe Foundation and Wayne Barton Study Center. Both organizations provide invaluable, critical assistance to children in our local community, and we believe our future leaders deserve every opportunity to advance themselves,” says Jack Jaiven, SGB Vice President and SREC Executive Vice President.

KidSafe Foundation lists its mission: “…to provide preventive education to children and adults, empowering them with skills that create a safe society free from sexual abuse, bullying, and internet exploitation.” Similarly, Wayne Barton Study Center lists it purpose: “…to enhance the health, welfare and education of children in need in our community.”

Last year’s event was standing-room only at Boca Resto Lounge, whose owner “was so impressed with the turnout and charitable nature of the event,” according to SGB Asst. Vice President and SREC REALTOR®, Wendy Pressner, that he donated a percentage of his own profits, as well as artwork. Pressner anticipates an even larger turnout this year.

“The Signature Family is filled with tremendous talent beyond real estate and other professional fields. Signature’s Got Talent is our way of appreciating each other in new ways while raising funds to benefit local charities. We have a strong commitment to our mantra: Be the change you wish to see in this world.”

Performers from SREC will be judged by: KidSafe Foundation Executive Director/Co-Founder Sally Berenzweig; talent scout/Vice President of Entertainment with Cenvill Recreation, Abby Koffler; Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie; and Wayne Barton of his namesake philanthropy, Wayne Barton Study Center.

Signature Gives Back, Inc. enjoyed an extremely successful 2017 in raising funds to support a variety of local charities. With its First Annual Fundraiser to support hurricane victims, the group raised more than $10,000. As a result, the organization offered it first official grants, helping to restore normalcy to two families’ critical housing needs: the first by subsidizing the relocation of family members from Puerto Rico to Boca Raton, including one with special needs requiring a service dog. SGB also provided financial assistance for a generator and critical repairs for a second family’s house in Puerto Rico.

As reported in http://www.prweb.com/releases/2018/01/prweb15097652.htm

Signature Gives Back (SGB), the philanthropic arm of The Signature Real Estate Companies (SREC), put the finishing touches on an extremely charitable and productive 2017 by awarding its first official grants to two Puerto Rican families severely affected by the devastation of Hurricane Maria.

Jack Jaiven, SREC Executive Vice President and SGB Vice President, states: “For a young philanthropic organization like SGB, raising more than $10,000 at our First Annual Fundraiser in October was remarkable; however, the more significant accomplishment is utilizing those funds to support two Puerto Rican families who truly need substantial financial assistance.”

SGB has helped to restore normalcy to two families’ critical housing needs: the first by subsidizing the permanent relocation of the family members from Puerto Rico to Boca Raton, including one with special needs requiring a service dog. SGB also has provided financial assistance for a generator and critical repairs for a second family’s house in Puerto Rico.

Phyllis Minns, SREC REALTOR® and Event Chair for SREC’s inaugural fundraiser at the Silverball Museum in downtown Delray Beach, was highly instrumental in locating a rental apartment in Boca Raton where the family will reside during 2018 with financial assistance from SGB. “All of Signature should be complimented for participating in events to help raise the money needed for this to happen… I’m happy that I was able to play a small part in it.”

SREC REALTOR® and SGB Assistant Vice President, Wendy Pressner, worked tirelessly with Jaiven to assist the family by advocating directly to the local community and eliciting the help from SGB committee members to back the effort. “It’s REALTORS® like Phyllis, who are so giving of their time to help others that truly make this world a better place. I’m proud to co-chair Signature Gives Back and be able to say SGB is the true definition of what it means to be the change you want to see in this world.”

“Absolutely fantastic job!” remarks SREC President-Broker and SGB President, Ben G. Schachter. He credits the company’s ‘agent-centric’ approach to the rise in volunteerism this year. “We invest in empowering our employees, and that resonates within our communities.”

Signature Gives Back, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, has encouraged hundreds of REALTORS® to volunteer their time and make financial contributions to these charitable organizations among others: Boca Helping Hands, Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Habitat for Humanity, SOS Children’s Villages, Tri-County Animal Rescue, The Soup Kitchen, and Wayne Barton Study Center.

The Signature Real Estate Companies (SignatureRealEstateCompanies.com) operates more than 25 real estate brokerages and has more than 700 Team Members across Florida, adding 200 alone in 2017.

Habitat

A brisk and sunny South Florida morning welcomed a team of Signature Gives Back (SGB) volunteer builders Dec. 14 to help construct a South Florida family’s upcoming home, as part of the Habitat for Humanity® outreach programs. It marks the third consecutive year, SGB has been chosen to assist Habitat for Humanity® in aiding the local community by closing the low-cost housing gap.

“My favorite part of these builds is observing the intent of our volunteers to outperform what’s expected of them,” says Jack Jaiven, Executive Vice President of The Signature Real Estate Companies (Signature) and SGB Co-Chair. Adds Co-Chair Wendy Pressner, “They are hardworking and particularly passionate about this volunteer opportunity.”

The Habitat for Humanity volunteer experience marks the first of its official volunteer opportunities since SGB’s parent company, The Signature Real Estate Companies, rolled out its formal company-wide social responsibility initiative pledging volunteerism.

“Part of our ‘agent-centric’ approach to training members of the Signature Family is focused on creating change agents and ‘connectors’,” says President/Broker of Signature and SGB Founder Ben G. Schachter. “Signature’s richly diverse real estate professional pool extends our potential to reach a myriad of social interests and causes worldwide.”

Chief Development Officer Kari Oeltjen, of Habitat for Humanity® of South Palm Beach County, spoke at the final 2017 SGB committee meeting the day prior to the build.

“We appreciate Signature Gives Back as a group of community-minded REALTORS® who truly understand how a home can transform the lives of the Habitat-partner families forever.”

Habitat for Humanity® prides its operations on building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. “It was wonderful to have Signature Gives Back take action and help build, fundraise and advocate for good, affordable housing for everyone,” adds Oeltjen.

On the topic of housing, SGB most recently assisted two families’ critical housing needs resulting from the devastation of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. SGB raised a remarkable $10,000+ to significantly subsidize the housing needs of one family with relatives relocating from Puerto Rico to South Florida.
